For circuit engineers, capacitors are the partners they often need to deal with, and there are many types of capacitors. Today, Xiaobian will mainly explain the 9 kinds of capacitors that we often encounter in our work

Ceramic dielectric vessel: the ceramic surface is coated with a layer of metal film, and then sintered at high temperature to become an electrode. Ceramic capacitor can be regarded as the type of capacitor in the application of the most of a capacitor, it is divided into 1 class NPO,

CCG class media, 2 class X7R, 2X1 class, 3 class Y5V, 2F4 class ceramic capacitor 1 class capacitor is mainly used in high-frequency circuits.

Polyester capacitor: is a non-polar capacitor, by a polar polyester film as a medium, its temperature coefficient is positive. It has the characteristics of heat resistance, high pressure resistance, moisture resistance and low price. Usually used in medium and low frequency circuits.

Polypropylene capacitor: a negative temperature coefficient non-polar capacitor made of acrylic film as a negative electrode material. It can be divided into unsealed (usually packaged with colored resin paint) and sealed (packaged with metal or plastic housing).

Low loss, stable performance, insulation, large capacity. Widely used in low and medium frequency electronic circuits or motor starting capacitors.

Monolithic capacitor: Barium titanate as the main raw material, sintered from the multi-layer ultra-small capacitor. It has the advantages of reliable performance, high temperature resistance, humidity resistance, large capacity (pF~ 1μF), small leakage current and so on.

Its disadvantage is low operating voltage, mainly used for resonance, bypass, coupling, filtering and so on.

Mica capacitor: A layer of metal film is sprayed on the surface of mica as an electrode, laminated according to the required capacity, and then made in a ceramic or plastic shell with impregnation. Stable performance, small distributed inductance, high precision,

small loss, large insulation resistance, with good temperature characteristics and frequency characteristics, high operating voltage (50 V~7 kV). It is usually used in high frequency circuits for signal coupling, bypass, tuning, etc.

Aluminum electrolytic capacitor: Aluminum foil (positive electrode) and immersed in the electrolyte liner paper and cathode (negative electrode) foil stacked together. The outer packing is tubular and vertical. And the outside of the aluminum shell has a blue or black plastic wrap.

Its advantage is that the capacity range is large, in the rated voltage range of 6.3 V~450 V. The disadvantages are media loss, capacity error, poor high temperature resistance, long storage time and easy failure. Note: Cannot be used for AC power supply lines. When used, the polarity cannot handle the filter capacitor in the DC power supply.

Tantalum electrolytic capacitors: divided into foil type tantalum electrolytic capacitors and the medium is tantalum oxide. There are many kinds of packaging forms, with small media loss, good frequency characteristics, high temperature resistance,

small leakage current and other advantages. The disadvantage is that the production cost is high and the pressure is low. Suitable for communication, home appliances and other medium and low frequency circuit and time constant setting circuit.

Polypropylene capacitor: metallized polypropylene film series structure, resistance to high voltage, large current impact, with low loss, good electrical property, high reliability, good self-healing and so on. Its advantages are high dielectric constant, small size,

large capacity, better stability, high pressure resistance, high reliability, and strong self-healing. The downside is the temperature.

Safety capacitor: The composition of the capacitor is generally composed of medium, electrode, shell, sleeve, pin five parts. Its medium is generally composed of polypropylene film, the electrode is composed of metal vacuum evaporation layer,

the shell is usually flame retardant PBT plastic shell; The package is generally composed of flame retardant epoxy resin; The pin is made of tinned copper-clad steel wire. After failure, it will not cause electric shock and will not endanger personal safety.
