An oscillator is an electronic component used to produce repeated electronic signals (usually sine or square waves). The circuit formed by it is called the oscillation circuit. An electronic circuit or device that converts direct current into an alternating current electrical output of a certain frequency. There are many kinds, according to the oscillation excitation mode can be divided into self-excited oscillator, other excited oscillator; According to the circuit structure, it can be divided into resistance capacitance oscillator, inductance capacitance oscillator, crystal oscillator, tuning fork oscillator, etc. According to the output waveform can be divided into sine wave, square wave, sawtooth wave and other oscillators. Widely used in electronic industry, medical, scientific research and other aspects.

The Role That An Oscillator Can Play In A Circuit

An oscillator is an electronic component used to produce repeated electronic signals (usually sine or square waves). The circuit formed by it is called the oscillation circuit.

Low frequency oscillators are those that produce AC signals with frequencies between 0.1 Hz and 10 Hz. The term is often used in audio synthesis to distinguish other audio oscillators.

Oscillators can be divided into two main types: harmonic oscillators and relaxation oscillators.

According to the oscillation excitation mode can be divided into self-excited oscillator, other excited oscillator;

According to the circuit structure, it can be divided into resistance capacitance oscillator, inductance capacitance oscillator, crystal oscillator, tuning fork oscillator, etc.

According to the output waveform can be divided into sine wave, square wave, sawtooth wave and other oscillators.

Self-excited multivibrators are also called astable circuits. The collector of the two tubes each has a capacitor connected to the base of another tube, playing an AC coupling role, forming a positive feedback circuit, when the power is switched on the moment, a tube is first through, the other tube is cut off, at this time, the collector of the tube has an output, the capacitor of the collector will coupling the pulse signal to the base of another tube to make the other tube through. At this time, the original conductive pipe is cut off. In this way, the two tubes turn on and off, creating an oscillating current.

Component OF Oscillating Circuit

Amplifying Circuit

General oscillation circuit consists of amplifying circuit, positive feedback network, frequency selection network and amplitude stabilization circuit. The amplifier circuit is essential to meet the amplitude balance condition, because in the oscillation process, there will inevitably be energy loss, resulting in oscillation attenuation. Through the amplifier circuit, the power supply can be controlled to continuously provide energy to the oscillation system to maintain constant amplitude oscillation, so the amplifier circuit is essentially a transducer, which plays the role of supplementing energy loss.

Positive Feedback Network

The positive feedback network is essential to meet the phase balance condition. It returns part or all of the output power of the amplifier circuit to the input end to complete the self-excited task. In essence, it plays the role of energy control. The function of the frequency selection network is to make the feedback signal through the positive feedback network, only the selected signal can make the circuit meet the self-excited oscillation condition, for the signal of other frequencies, because it can not meet the self-excited oscillation condition, thus suppressed, its purpose is to make the circuit produce a single frequency sine wave signal.

Frequency Selection Network And Amplitude Stabilization Circuit

If the frequency selection network is composed of R and C components, it is called RC sine wave oscillation circuit; If it is composed of L and C components, it is called LC sine wave oscillation circuit; If it is composed of quartz crystal, it is called quartz crystal oscillation circuit. The function of the amplitude-stabilizing circuit is to stabilize the amplitude of the oscillating signal, which can be accomplished by using thermal elements or other limiting circuits, or by using the nonlinearity of the amplifier circuit's own components. In order to obtain stable constant amplitude oscillation, negative feedback network is sometimes introduced.

The Use Process And Precautions OF Oscillator

Use process

1, into the test bottle, and maintain balance, if the dual-function model, set the oscillation mode.

2, turn on the power supply, set the timing time according to the machine surface scale, if you need to work for a long time, set the timer to the "normally on" position.

3, turn on the power switch, set the constant temperature:

(1) Set the small control switch in the "Set" section. At this time, the temperature displayed on the display screen is the set temperature. Adjust the knob to set the temperature required by your work.

(The working temperature you set should be higher than the ambient temperature, at this time the machine begins to heat, the yellow indicator light, otherwise the machine will not work)

(2) Place the control part of the small switch in the "measurement" end, and the temperature displayed on the display screen is the actual temperature of the air in the test box. With the change of the temperature in the box, the number displayed will also change accordingly.

(3) When heating to the temperature you need, the heating will automatically stop, the green indicator light; When the heat in the test chamber is lost below the temperature you set, a new round of heating will begin again.

4. Start the oscillating device:

(1) Open the oscillation switch on the control panel, and the indicator light is on.

(2) Adjust the oscillation speed knob to the desired oscillation frequency.

5, after the work is finished, cut off the power supply, set the speed control knob and temperature control knob to the lowest point.

6. Clean the machine and keep it clean [2].
